There was a kitchen one block before the end of the world. There, the owner Ali, did everything himself: he cooked, he talked to the people, he cleaned, he managed the cash flow. The menu was short but variable, and it looked something like this:
Starters
Mixed salad
Soup of the day
Main courses
Grilled chicken with potatoes
Pasta with tomato sauce
Hamburger with French fries
Desserts
Cake of the day
Beverages
Sparkling water
Fresh juice
Coffee
As you can see, it was really simple, but all the plates were made with so much love that the place could be easily considered a Michelin star restaurant.
The restaurant was everything that Ali had; the name of it was Heaven, so when people asked, where are you going? They will reply: to Heaven. And also because the food was so delicious that seem to be prepared by angels, but everything was prepared with the hands, love, and dedication of Ali.
Even thought Heaven offered such delicious food and good service, it was barely visited by customers; only the brave travelers who dared to go beyond the unknown got there. This braveness was really valued by Ali, so he made the price of the food really low. The important payment that he asked was a valuable thing of the traveller, which made him remember them long after they left. This is why the place was full of books, pictures, art, and other random stuff.
Maybe someday, if you’re brave enough, you can follow your heart, find Heaven and be delighted by the delicious food that Ali will prepare for you. And if you get there, send him my regards.
